There is this saying which goes, “don’t take life for granted”. The word “life” in that saying can be used ambiguously to mean many things. Your freedom, your relationships, your job, your health and so on. That saying can coincide to mean, “live your life to the fullest, enjoy every moment like it was your last, blah blah, after all YOLO.” That was me. That was my family. Always happy, smiling, traveling with a sense of wonder and adventure.
But often times, this saying can be used literally. It sounds more like a cautious statement, a statement of warning and practicality rather than splurging. Hey! Don’t take your LIFE for granted, as in, you could lose it all in a split second. Either you will cease to exist in an instant or your entire life will be flipped upside down in a heartbeat. Heck, before you can process and understand what hit you, you will be scrambling to adapt like you didn’t know you were even capable of over and over again. THAT, is the story of my Suvir, my second born, my “Suvperhero” and through him that is also my story and the story of my little family.

*My husband (Sunay) and I with our first son Rihaan, on a trip to Portugal in March-2017. I was pregnant with Suvir at this time and this was our last vacation (local or abroad).
